
Pat Connect Platform – Terms of Use
Who We Are
The Pat Connect Cloud Platform is operated by the Pat Connect team which consists of a full time Pat Testing company as well as a full time fully qualified coding engineer.
Introduction
The Pat Connect Platform provides an online appliance testing data management system tailored for Pat testing / test and tag professionals, in-house testers, and electricians. These Terms of Use outline both our responsibilities as the platform provider and your obligations as a user of the Subscription Services. Please read them carefully.
These Terms of Use apply to anyone using the Subscription Services and are effective from the moment you access them.
As the Subscription Services develop over time through user feedback, these Terms are not exhaustive and cannot cover every possible scenario.
We may revise these Terms at any time, with updates becoming effective when posted on our website. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you or your Licensee of any changes, such as via email or in-platform notifications. It is your responsibility to review and accept the latest version of these Terms.
By using the Subscription Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms of Use and that you are authorized to act on behalf of any organization for which you are using the Subscription Services.
Terms of Use
1. Definitions

Authorised Users – employees, agents, or independent contractors of the Licensee who are permitted to use the Subscription Services.

Contract – the agreement between the Licensee and Pat Connect for access to the Subscription Services, consisting of these Terms, the SLA, and other applicable conditions.

Customer Data – information entered by the Licensee, Authorised Users, or on their behalf to use the Pat Connect Cloud Platform.

Licensee – the person or organization that holds a license for the Subscription Services under the Contract.

Pat Connect Cloud Platform – the software made available via website or app-based interfaces, including related databases, under the Contract.

Subscription Services – the Pat Connect Cloud Platform, support services, deliverables, and any outputs provided under the Contract.

User Licenses – the number of individual user licenses purchased by the Licensee, each granting one Authorised User access to the Subscription Services.

You / Your – the individual using or accessing the Subscription Services.
2. Roles and Responsibilities
2.1 Our Role
We maintain and operate the Pat Connect Services, issue User Licenses to Licensees, and manage platform updates, maintenance, and enhancements in accordance with the Contract.
2.2 Your Licensee
Your Licensee is the entity that subscribes to and manages the Subscription Services, including all data you enter. Typically, this is the organization you work for. The Licensee grants you access to the platform and manages User Licenses and records within the Pat Connect Cloud Platform.
2.3 You
You access the Subscription Services through your Licensee’s provision. While not a direct party to the Contract, you must comply with these Terms of Use to access and use the platform. All data you submit belongs to your Licensee (see Section 8 – Ownership).
3. Obligations
3.1 Prohibited Activities
By accessing the Subscription Services, you agree not to:

Use the platform in violation of laws or regulations.

Attempt to hack or compromise the system.

Bypass security features.

Interfere with service operation, including denial-of-service attacks.

Attempt to steal data, software code, or other intellectual property.

Reverse engineer the platform.

Use the platform for illegal purposes.

Coerce others into revealing private information or solicit funds through manipulation.

Introduce viruses, malware, or harmful software.

Use automated scripts to access or scrape content (except authorized API integrations).

Cause excessive traffic or disrupt operations.

Infringe on others’ intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

Transmit spam, marketing, or other unsolicited content.

Upload materials that violate third-party intellectual property rights.
3.2 Required Conduct
You must:

Report any suspected security vulnerabilities immediately through the platform.

Protect your account with a strong, confidential password.

Not disclose any vulnerabilities for at least 48 hours after notifying us, unless legally required.
3.3 Data Restrictions
The platform is not intended for personal or sensitive data unless explicitly allowed under the Contract.
4. Grant of Use
Your access is provided under the Licensee’s agreement with Pat Connect. Access is granted solely through your Licensee.
5. Access Rights
Access is managed by your Licensee. Pat Connect does not control your access, nor can we be held liable for restrictions or termination of access by your Licensee.
6. Termination
6.1 Termination by Pat Connect
We may terminate your access if:

You violate these Terms of Use.

Required by law.
6.2 Termination by You
You may discontinue using the platform at any time. Your submitted data will remain subject to Section 8 (Ownership).
7. Privacy
Your privacy is governed by our Privacy Policy: https://patconnectcloud.com/privacy-policy. Third-party privacy policies may also apply.
8. Ownership
All Customer Data belongs to your Licensee, who retains full rights and control. Pat Connect cannot delete or modify data without the Licensee’s consent, except to remove all data upon termination of the Contract. Reseller partners may also have access as applicable.
9. Authorised User-Generated Content
The platform may host content from other users. If you encounter offensive or upsetting content, your remedy is to stop viewing it or report it to your Licensee.
10. General Advice
Unless explicitly stated, content is for informational purposes only and is not professional advice. Seek independent guidance for specific circumstances.
11. Warranty
By submitting content, you confirm that you hold all necessary rights and licenses to use and share the material on the platform.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property in the Pat Connect Cloud Platform—including software, methods, patents, and trademarks—is owned by Pat Connect. No rights are transferred to you beyond what is expressly granted here.
13. Limitation of Liability
Pat Connect is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, revenue, or data. Liability to you is limited to the extent permitted by law. Any claims must be directed to your Licensee.
